Run signal through every cable and channel the night before. Intermittent connections and bad cables are the most common live audio failures — catching them in advance saves the gig.
Use tape and a marker to label both ends of every cable and the corresponding mixer channel. When troubleshooting under pressure, labels are the difference between a quick fix and a 10-minute scramble.
Bring at least one extra cable, adapter, and battery for every critical connection in your signal chain. Redundancy is cheap — downtime is not.
Tape down cable runs across walkways and keep them away from power cables to reduce trip hazards and electrical interference. A clean cable path is safer and sounds better.

Can I use this with my camera?
Most pro audio gear outputs line level or mic level via XLR. Cameras with XLR inputs work directly; for 3.5mm camera inputs, you may need an adapter and a level attenuator.
Is phantom power required?
Check the specifications above for power requirements. Condenser microphones need 48V phantom power. Dynamic mics and devices with internal batteries do not.
