The Aputure Light Dome Mini 22″ is the compact sibling of the Light Dome II — same parabolic design and double diffusion quality in a smaller package. Faster to set up, easier to transport, and better suited to tight shooting spaces, travel kits, and close-up portrait or product work at short distances.

Rental Tips
Before mixing this with other lights, set a custom white balance or use a grey card. Even small color temperature mismatches are visible on camera and harder to fix in post.
Bare light is harsh and unflattering. Pair the Aputure Light Dome with a softbox, umbrella, or diffusion panel to get softer, more professional results.
Tape down power cables and sandbag light stands — especially outdoors or in high-traffic areas. A falling light is a safety hazard and an expensive repair.
Power up all your lights together the night before to confirm output levels, check for flicker at your frame rate, and make sure you have enough extension cords and power.

What modifiers are compatible?
Check the mount type in the specifications above. Most of our lights accept Bowens-mount modifiers, but some use proprietary mounts — ask us and we can recommend the right softbox or umbrella adapter.
Can I use this outdoors?
Battery-powered units work great on location. AC-powered lights need a generator or nearby outlet. Either way, avoid moisture and direct rain — none of our lights are weatherproof.
How long does the battery last?
Battery life varies by power level — running at 50% will roughly double your runtime compared to full power. Check the specs above for the rated capacity and plan extra batteries for long shoot days.
