Description

The Aputure F10 Fresnel is a professional Bowens Mount Fresnel modifier that transforms any compatible LED monolight into a focusable hard-light source. Zoom from a wide 10° spot to a broad 45° flood, dial in precise beam control, and use the integrated barn doors to cut and shape the light with surgical accuracy.

Pair it with the Aputure LS 600c Pro II for a high-output focusable colour source capable of matching HMIs and tungsten Fresnels on professional sets — at a fraction of the power draw. Works with any Bowens Mount LED fixture.

Fresnel Modifier Rental Tips

01
Spot for distance, flood for fill

Zoom to 10° spot when you need maximum throw — lighting a subject from across a large room or punching through a window from outside. Use the 45° flood position for a wider, more even coverage as a key or fill. The transition between them is smooth and stepless.

02
Barn doors for clean cuts

The four integrated barn doors let you cut light off walls, floors, and camera-adjacent surfaces with precision. Use them to keep light off the background while exposing the subject, or to create a dramatic slash of light across a scene. Each leaf adjusts independently.

03
Pairs perfectly with the 600c Pro II

The F10 + LS 600c Pro II combination produces a high-output focusable colour source that rivals traditional tungsten and HMI Fresnels — at a fraction of the power draw and with full colour control. Rent both together for a complete professional hard-light kit.

04
It gets hot — handle carefully

The die-cast aluminium body conducts heat from the fixture. After extended use at full power, the housing will be hot to the touch — use the handle and avoid grabbing the body directly. Allow the fixture to cool before packing it away to protect both the Fresnel lens and the carrying case.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Does this work with lights other than Aputure?

Yes — the F10 uses a standard Bowens Mount, so it’s compatible with any Bowens Mount light fixture regardless of brand. Godox, Neewer, Genaray, and many other LED monolights with Bowens Mount will work. Optimal performance is with Aputure LS 600 series fixtures due to the matched optical design.

Do I need to rent a light separately?

Yes — this is the Fresnel modifier only. You’ll need a Bowens Mount LED monolight to power it. Add the Aputure LS 600c Pro II to your quote for the ideal pairing, or use it with any other Bowens Mount fixture in your kit.

Does the Fresnel affect colour accuracy?

Minimally. The borosilicate glass lens is optically clear and has very little effect on colour rendering or temperature. When used with a full-colour fixture like the LS 600c Pro II, RGBWW colour control remains fully functional through the Fresnel — you lose almost nothing in terms of colour output.
