Always format the media in your camera or recorder before shooting — not on a computer. This ensures the correct file system and directory structure for reliable recording.
Copy your footage to at least two separate drives at the end of each shoot day. Verify the copies play back correctly before formatting the card for the next day.
Pulling a card or drive while it is still writing corrupts data. Always stop recording, wait for the activity light to go idle, and then safely eject before removing.

Is the data wiped before each rental?
