Custom-designed to be optically invisible in 360° stitching, it maintains seamless footage underwater without the housing appearing in your shots. A hydrophobic lens coating repels water instantly for drop-free, clear video even in heavy surface chop.

Dive Case Rental Tips
10 anti-fog inserts are included. Place a fresh one inside the case before sealing for each dive. Fogging on the inside of the housing is the number one cause of ruined underwater footage — this single step prevents it entirely.
Before entering the water, confirm the case is fully locked and the O-ring seal is properly seated with no hair, sand, or debris on it. A quick freshwater rinse of the outside after each salt or silty water session will extend the seal’s life.
The built-in 2-prong mount is designed for Insta360’s Invisible Selfie Stick, which also stitches out completely underwater. Extend the stick below the case for a floating third-person POV — one of the most striking 360 underwater shots you can create.
The dive case requires X3 firmware v1.0.80 or above for seamless underwater stitching to work correctly. This camera is maintained and updated, but if you’re shooting in a remote location, confirm firmware is current before you leave cell range.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do I need to rent the X3 camera separately?
Yes — this is the dive case only. You’ll need to add the Insta360 X3 360° Camera to your quote as a separate item. We recommend renting both together. The X3 is natively waterproof to 10m on its own; this case extends that to 50m for diving applications.
Can I still use the touchscreen and controls inside the case?
Yes — the Invisible Dive Case is transparent and designed to keep the X3’s touchscreen and physical buttons accessible. You can start/stop recording, switch modes, and adjust settings normally with the camera inside the case.
Will the case show up in my 360 footage?
No — this is the key feature of the “Invisible” design. The clear polycarbonate housing is engineered to stitch out of the 360° image entirely, leaving no visible frame or housing in the final footage. The result looks identical to shooting without a case.
Is it safe for salt water and chlorinated pools?
Yes, but rinse it thoroughly with fresh water after every use in salt water or pools. Salt and chlorine can degrade the O-ring seals and housing material over time. Dry it completely before storage. We inspect the seals before each rental, but please let us know if you notice any debris on the O-ring during your rental period.
